Welcome to River Bear Yoga

We offer a wellbeing training programme designed specifically for schools. Founded by Rachel Savage, a passionate yoga instructor, actor, storyteller, and writer, River Bear Yoga blends movement, mindfulness, and play to create a complete and adaptable solution for children’s mental health and physical wellbeing.

Our programme is used in schools across the UK to support children's emotional development, reduce stress, and boost academic performance. With easy-to-follow training and ready-to-go lesson plans, River Bear Yoga can fit into any school day, whether it’s just a 5-minute session or a full hour-long class.

For Schools

The training covers why yoga, play and mindfulness is a proven way to help children with their mental and physical health. It is also experiential, offering you the time to practice and learn the techniques for yourself. So you too receive the benefits of yoga, play and mindfulness. Reducing stress for everybody – creating healthy happy classrooms.

We deliver the training as either in-person workshop style training, or alternatively in an online format. The curriculum is designed for primary school children suitable from Nursery through to Year Six.

For Teachers

Are you already a yoga or drama teacher? Would you like to be able to offer screen-free yoga & mindfulness classes for children?

We offer comprehensive (and fun!) training in how to deliver the River Bear Yoga curriculum.

And post training we provide a wealth of materials, including lesson plans and games, to support you in delivering classes.
